Where we've been

It's been kinda busy around here the past couple of weeks, and of course I don't have any pictures to share to prove it. First off, we started remodeling on our house...lots of work being done. We're adding on a bathroom to our room remodeling the other one, getting a new roof (since a recent windstorm blew shingles off!), getting new windows, and redoing all the plumbing since it's too old. Don't worry, I will eventually add pictures when they get done. So, my house is a disaster right now, and I can't wait to clean it again! Then, aunt Mamy (Amy) came to town and helped out tons while I was working and Brian was "supervising" the people working on the house. It's always so fun having aunt Mamy around, and Landen just loves her! Then, we went down to Utah for the Manti Pageant. Brian had never seen it before, but since I'd grown up down there, I'd been many times before. No matter how many times I've seen it though, it still is so touching and brings tears to my eyes. Oh, and of course what would a pageant be without people protesting something or another about Mormons? Oh, also while we were down there we celebrated Father's Day early (yes, I worked Father's Day too!!!!) with my brother and his family and my parents. We had all chipped in to get Jackstack Barbecue shipped out for the guys....it was soooooooo yummy! I can't wait to go back to KC in September and get some more.

And in other news, Landen is 9 months old....crazy! He's finally rating on a chart now ;). He's in the 1st percentile for weight at 15.6 lbs and the 25th for height at 27.5 inches. My little squirt if finally getting into 6-9 month clothes...woo hoo! At least we're getting longer than 3 months wear out of his clothes. He's the proud owner of 2 bottom teeth which he got in a matter of 5 days apart, poor kido, and still will chew on anything he can get his hands on. I'm sure it kills to get sharp objects poking through poor gums that have never had anything poking through them before. At least we don't remember the whole teething process. He's currently got a runny nose and cough again...so we're back to giving breathing treatments every four hours. The doctor thinks he probably does have baby asthma, but it's usually only brought on by constant jumping. In theory, this type of asthma usually goes away, so hopefully it won't bug him when he's older. He's just gotten into this fighting sleep phase the past couple of days (hopefully just because he's not feeling well), and doesn't even want to take his bottle anymore. We have to practically shove it in his mouth and hold him down (not really, but he definitely knows what he does and doesn't want anymore!). Overall, he's such a happy, babbler boy who can entertain himself for hours...now that he's playing with more interactive toys or the dog (they're best buds). Love that kid

Oh, on a side note, Brian has an interview tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed for us!!!!

Sounds like you have your hands full... or your house. Good luck with every thing. I can't believe Landen is 9 months old already. It goes by so fast. And he is still so tiny.

You didn't tell me that you were remodeling. How fun! How did Brian's job interview go? Landen is still so tiny. Braden was 19 lbs at 9 months 1 week. And 28 inches long. So, they're about the same height. Braden just lots bigger. Hope he gets over being sick...poor kiddo.
