Nursery...HOORAY!

Landen's first day of Nursery was on Sunday, and he did amazing! No fuss at all to go, had the time of his life, and jabbering non-stop for awhile after I picked him up! They did however learn that if you give him water from the drinking fountain that he will drink from it forever, even after his lips turn purple. Needless to say, a sippy cup has been requested (I had one with me, I just didn't leave it with him).

It was awesome to be able to pay attention in church again for the first time in a year and a half! Going to church no longer feels like a chore for me, and it's great to be able to participate in discussions!

It's all in your head

At Landen's 18 month check-up he weighed in at 18.3 lbs! Yup, still the 0 percentile, but on a good note, his head is in the 14th percentile! He is however right on track with all his other developments (walking, speaking, talking, behaving). He's gotten really good at tantrums lately and has a very short temper (got that from his daddy). I think his main problem is that he understands how to communicate, he just doesn't know how to make us understand him. He's good at showing you what the problem is if you ask him to, so that usually pacifies him until he gets what he wants. The other day he started banging on the fridge because he wanted his milk. What a funny dude! Life is so fun with him!
I threw this in here because when I was giving Brian a haircut the other day, I decided it was time to introduce Landen to the clippers and not just the scissors. It was awesome! I only took hair off the sides (because he doesn't grow as much hair on top for some reason), but now it's all even. He looks like a boy now!!!!

Better Mama

Lately I've been feeling like I need to do more in furthering my son's education, so today we made paper crowns. Landen's been walking around the house with it on ever since! It's so cute! Even poor BJ got to join the fun when Brian stuck my crown over his head. He hasn't figured out how to get it off yet....poor puppy!

Nightmares?

So, Landen woke up at 3:00 a.m. screaming! When I went in to get him, not only did he have a temperature of 101.4, but he was so terrified. I felt so bad for him! He kept looking around and jumping and just clung to me. He went back to sleep easily enough, but I couldn't because I was just trying to imagine what had scared him so bad! I still have no idea why he's having fevers, because that's the only symptom he has! I just hope he doesn't have to have another bad night like that again!
