Spring..maybe?!

So good old Rexburg weather can't quite make up it's mind on whether it wants to be spring yet. One day will be beautiful, then it will snow the next day...loads of fun. But, with Brian having a week off between the semesters, we were able to get some yard work done. I must give a big shout out to Brian though, because he did most of it. I was working overtime while he was slaving away in the yard. Our shed collapsed during the worst winter days because of the truck loads of snow we got this year. He was able to take down the shed and haul it off to the dump, figure out where to put all our stuff that was in it, and even shoveled the rest of the snow that was in the front yard so that it could finally melt. We both took on the responsibility of raking the back yard and putting all the results into garbage bags...we filled 17 bags! I know, crazy! We still haven't raked the front yard, but I was so excited about how nice the backyard looks that I took pictures.

We're trying to figure out what to do with the space where the shed used to be, and we're thinking about putting in a little fire pit to sit and roast marshmallows on a nice summer night.

This is about a week later, and we still have pine cones falling out of the tree. Will it ever stop?

Did I mention BJ is loving being outside with the nice weather. I don't think he's ever seen green grass before. He actually did a double take with it the other day. It was quite funny!

We still have a lot to do, including treating our grub problems, planting a garden and work on more landscaping, but it's a work in progress. I'm actually loving taking care of my own yard, which suprises me, because I always hated mowing the lawn and weeding the gardens as a child. I guess I really have grown up!

We're expecting!

Hooray! After a long time of waiting we finally have the blessing of being able to start a family! We had our first ultrasound on the 3rd, and the little squirt didn't like holding still very well to be measured and to check the heartbeat, but it made the pictures turn out great so that you could see the full extension of the arm and legs. It's cute! We're due October 29th for those of you wondering.

They won!!!!!!!! After having my stomach cramp up for the majority of the game, they managed to score a 3 pointer at the buzzer and go into overtime, then won the game! Finally, they've managed to win the title they've deserved for so many years!
